There is No Alternative : The Critical Potential of Alternative
In short, “neoliberalism” is not simply a name for pro-market policies, or for the compromises with finance capitalism made by failing social democratic parties. It is a name for a premise that, Neoliberalism is the ethos that develops to support the breakdown of hierarchies, and which eventually becomes a motive force of its own. Some of this is caused by the nature of institutions; it is only natural that once a bureaucracy is instituted it will become a political force of its own. Neoliberalism is a polyvalent, unevenly deployed term.
